On this private website I would like to share my hobby, astronomy, with you. I, that is Ralf Figiel, living in Erding, Bavaria. With over fifty years of age, I have accumulated quite a few leisure activities. But astronomy, or more precisely astrophotography, now takes up a large part of my free time. And that's what I write about here - always with a twinkle in my eye.

I do not claim to be a scientist, nor do I distinguish myself through groundbreaking knowledge. No, I pass on what I experience. That which has helped me. And that which I find wonderful and fascinating, that which always captivates me - our night sky.

Self-ironic, amateurish and simply dedicated to the normally interested. Just a star album for anyone. And anyone should also be able to enjoy our nocturnal sky.

By the way, I consciously do without all the social media stuff like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc. I don't do that. I don't do the stress around self-promotion to myself. I just want to give you and me a place where we can relax and enjoy heaven and document our progress together. Completely without newsletters or personal data etc. We really don't need that here.
